I unplugged my internet modems/routers and now my wireless internet connection is gone , wtf happened ?
yesterday , i was basically cleaning the room , and i decided that i should move my 2 internet routers modems to a different position place in the room , my router is the DLink WBR 231 and my modem is Motorola SB5101 Surfboard cable modem. Usually , when i open my laptop , or go on my ipod touch , my wireless network is displayed on the list , but since yesterday when i unplugged the router modem , my original network sorta split into 2 different networks , named " dlink" and " default" and both of their connections are the same , as if to say , if you combine them back to the original one , you will have full bars . wtf ? basically my connection isnt as strong as before and my original wireless network is gone and split into 2 different networks . what the hell happened ? any help is appreciated , please and thankyou any tips on what to do ? OH and i think the dlink is for the wired connection and the motorola modem is for the wireless connection . thats all please , any tips will help and will be greatly appreciated & & they are plugged in .

Ok, I plugged my Internet cord that grey cord that goes with the telephone cord into my Wireless router. It works fine it's just that it's in the living room.I wanted to get internet acces in my room witch is too far away. I have a grey Internet cord plugin in my room. Could I buy another grey cord,stick in another router,and solve my problem?

Hey is it possible to have more than 1 internet model in your house MEANING is it possible to pay for a different service.The main reason is I like to stream and play games online and the people at the house tend to take up all the broadband making it almost impossible to stream or play games and making it absolutely impossible to do both at the same time while they are at the house.If your wondering why I do this a lot, well where I live there is NOTHING to do where I live, all the parties are illegal or are just about unprotected sex or both. I have a Gateway 3400 modem that I purchased about a month ago. I finally got a monitor for the modem. The modem does have Windows XP installed as the operating system. I have wireless internet at my home. I have two brand new laptops which are Windows 7, a year old Acer laptop with windows vista startup issues , and 2 older Mac Powerbooks. All of these laptops connect without problem to the internet. I was hoping to start an online college this fall and like the feel of a desktop computer vs. a laptop. Is there any special equipment that I need to purchase for the desktop to get it to connect to wireless. I know a little about computers. I have upgraded my one older Dell to Windows XP. Thanks.

Will this work? We both have the same provider, but my friend says he lost all of the drivers that let him get on line. He thinks I should be able to just bring my modem to his house so he can then get online and down load the missing drivers. Will that work?

My Internet/ modem? is acting strange.?
I have att dsl. It doesnt seem to want to work at all lately. The only way it would work is by doing a system restore to a previous date but now that doesnt work. All the lights light up. The Dsl works fine with my other computer. What can I do to fix it? I cant reinstall the cd because my cd drive doesnt work.

Internet modem to laptop?
So right now I have a Qwest High Speed Internet modem hooked up to my PC, but the problem is, that the power is hooked up to a power strip and my little brother turns it off for fun when I need it. My Internet modem takes forever to load after you shutdown the computer?
Well every time I restart my computer the modem will take about an hour just to start working again. Everything on the modem will be working up except for the PC activity light. What does this mean? If someone can please help me it will be greatly appreciated.
