Would downloading a torrent that is 33.1GB be hard on my computer if I have 52.9GB of free space left?

I currently have a laptop and an external display. I am receiving a new desktop computer modem for free in a couple days and was wondering if there was any way that I could hook up the extended monitor to the desktop without having to pull out the plugs. is there a cable or some type of technology that will let me multi task the external monitor between my laptop and computer tower ?
Can you lock or password games on a computer to prevent use?
My Son's grades are crashing in school because of too many video games. He gets too distracted. Most of his work is done on the computer, but every time I leave, he just turns on the games. Is there any program out there that can prevent the game from being played with a password of some sort? Or even a timer to unlock at a certain time? Thank you

My brand new computer is running really slow...and I don't have virus issues.?
My computer is brand new and it is running extremely slow...?I just got a brand new 1800 dollar computer and it's about a month old. Every now and then it runs so slow that it takes 40 minutes just for log in screen to load for me to put my password in. The first two times I just did a system restore and it worked fine.However, every time I go away from the computer and then come back it's running so slow it wont even shut down. I have to manually turn the power off. I have run just about ever single free and secure virus, spyware and malware program you can think of and nothing has been found.Then when I tried to do the third system restore it told me that it couldn't restore from any of the 5 points I tried because the files in that point were " corrupted" . Also, aside from running slow games crash after I have played them for about 3 minutes. Not the computer just the game application itself. It takes about 20 minutes to close it though of course because of the slow computer speed.Basically, I wanted someone who knows a lot about computer to help me figure out what the issue is. So far the information I have gathered on the internet tells me that it may be a faulty HDD, but... it just seems like more of a processor issue. How do I clean soda from inside of computer tower?
Just about had a heart attack tonight. A glass of root beer literally exploded and went in through the top fan on my computer tower. My graphics card got the worst of it. I dried it as much as I could with paper towel and then blasted the whole CPU with compressed air. But im worried about when it dries.What else should I do?

So I was reading a web page when strange, staticy, deep voices began talking very gibbershly. I exited ALL programs out, and the voices continued to play. Right when I attempted to make the voices out, they stopped. WTF?
Results5.google.com spam or scam on a brand new computer?
My brother got an HP computer less than a year ago. His computer, after a few months, got, what I thought from Googling, a virus because every time we would try to Google search, it would show the results, but if you clicked on the result, it would take you to a different URL with the beginning starting with " results5.google.com..." and it was always a site for advertisements about whatever the search was about.Now, today, I got a brand new Compaq computer from Best Buy, and have begun to set it up. I only downloaded Firefox, Google Chrome, and AVG Free Virus Protection. But before downloading these, Google would take me to results5 from Internet Explorer.I thought this was apart of a Trojan virus, but it appears not because the computer has been in factory condition, brand spanking new...you get the idea.Anyone know what it is? And anyone know any ways to get rid of this? It appears it is only affected by Internet Explorer...Firefox is fine, and I'll try Google Chrome... Thanks guys.EDIT To Bill M. I tried inputting the number into the address bar, but my internet browser said it couldn't connect to the number.I went into my DNS settings under the control panel like you suggested too, and it is already at " automatically acquire DNS settings" .Thanks for the info. I'll go ahead and go for the MSE like you suggested. AVG free version has always been good to my computers, and it is the first thing I do when setting up a computer. Thank you again.To everyone else, I am running on Windows 7 Home Premium if that makes a difference too.
My computer automatically shuts down after a few minutes,whats the problem?

Final Cut Pro on New Computer?
I just bought a new MacBook Pro, and just got Final Cut Studio. If I choose to get a new computer, will I be able to reinstall Final Cut Studio on the new one? I intend for this computer to last me a long time, and I am sure there will be a far better version of Final Cut by then, but you know how these Apple products work, you have it for 8 months until they release a way cooler model that you must have. Thanks for your help, I have only been a Mac user for one month, and this is the only software that I have bought that has cost me more than $99.00.
